Job Title: Team Leader I
Pay Rate: $26.33 + $1.00 Shift Diff
Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (OT Required)

Job Title: Team Leader I

Pay Rate: $26.33 + $1 Shift Diff

Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (OT Required)

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead and work hands-on with a team to produce Sonoco Reels in Nail Wood. Attendance, safety, defect detection, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Lead a team of 15-20 employees on a Reel Manufacturing line.
2. Collaborate with other departments and teams.
3. Make process adjustments, monitor, and report quality.
4. Identify training needs and implement plans.
5. Conduct employee reviews.
6. Ensure timely deliverables and complete administrative tasks.
7. Motivate the team to improve performance.
8. Troubleshoot and set up manufacturing machines.
9. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, familiarity with 5S is a plus.
10. Support quality and safety policies.
11. Assist other departments as needed.

Job Requirements

1. 3-5 years manufacturing experience; leadership or project experience preferred.
2. Effective communication skills; basic math skills.
3. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
4. Knowledge of products and quality standards.
5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
6. Ability to read manufacturing instructions.
7. Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
8. Experience in continuous improvement projects and tools (e.g., SPS) is desired.
9. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
10. Forklift experience is a plus.
11. Open to change and forward-thinking.
12. Adaptability to changing situations.
