Job summary

JobTarget, LLC in Manchester, NH is seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Setup Machinist to set up, operate, and troubleshoot Swiss-style CNC machines. You will read blueprints, install tooling, and inspect first pieces to ensure tight tolerances in a high-quality production environment.

You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues, maintain ISO compliance, and document setups for traceability on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year machine trade certificate preferred.
• Strong G-code and GD&T understanding.
• Able to read blueprints and use precision tools.
• Independent worker with teamwork in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in CNC Swiss machining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and GD&T.
• Install tooling, adjust offsets, and perform first-piece inspections.
• Optimize programs and processes for efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and adjust as needed.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Document setups and production runs.
• Ensure safety and quality standards.

Job Summary:

This role requires strong attention to detail, experience with tight tolerances, and the ability to work independently to ensure high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
• Install tooling, adjust offsets, and perform first-piece inspections
• Optimize programs and processes for efficiency and quality
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
• Maintain proper documentation of setups and production runs
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues
• Familiar with ISO requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of G-code and CNC programming edits
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Preferred: Experience in CNC Swiss machining.

Education:

• Minimum Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Two-year certificate in machine trade.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing/production floor environment
