Job summary

RMB Products, Inc. in Fountain, CO is seeking a Surface Prep Operator for the 2nd shift. You will prepare metal surfaces for coating using abrasive blasting, masking, and careful inspections to ensure compliance with customer specs and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating cranes and forklifts, following work instructions, and maintaining equipment. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work overtime, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in surface preparation preferred.
• Must have or obtain respirator certification.
• Current forklift certification or ability to obtain via training.
• Current crane and rigging certification or ability to obtain via training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal and other surfaces for coating, lining, or painting via abrasive blasting and approved methods.
• Follow work instructions and quality standards to ensure proper surface prep.
• Mask and protect surfaces to limit coatings to designated areas.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials safely.
• Inspect surfaces for cleanliness and readiness before coating.
• Maintain blasting equipment and work areas for safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety policies and company quality standards.
• Collaborate with team to meet production deadlines.
