Morton Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a skilled manufacturing team on the floor, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork every shift.

You will coach, assign work, review schedules, read blueprints, enforce policies, pursue continuous improvement, and develop your team through training and recognition.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support production employees throughout the shift.
  • Communicate work assignments, production priorities, and expectations through both written and verbal instruction.
  • Review production schedules and estimating labor requirements to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders while helping your team understand the work ahead.
  • Assign work, adjusting priorities, and keeping production moving efficiently.
  • Inspecting products to verify quality standards and directing machine setup or adjustments as necessary.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety expectations while creating a culture of teamwork.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, workflow, and product quality.
  • Help employees solve day-to-day production challenges and remove obstacles that impact performance.
  • Recommend improvements to equipment usage, working conditions, and manufacturing processes to increase efficiency.
  • Motivate employees to achieve production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Maintain accurate production records, labor records, and material requirements.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and departments to keep work flowing.
  • Train, develop, evaluate, and recognize employees while helping them grow.
  • Address employee concerns, resolving conflicts professionally, and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Jump in to perform production work when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
