Job summary

Benchmark is seeking an SMT operator in Rochester, MN. Under supervision, you will operate SMT placement equipment and related machinery to manufacture PCBs and systems.

Responsibilities include reading assembly prints, following procedures, and identifying parts using cross-reference tools. You may assist with line changes, maintain clean work areas, and handle hazardous waste per policy. Safety and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in PCB/system manufacture.
• Experience operating entry-level production equipment is a plus, may be certified on select machines.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow assembly prints, instructions, drawings and specifications used in PCB manufacture.
• Operate SMT placement equipment and other machines as directed.
• Identify part numbers, descriptions and vendor information using cross-reference tools; verify markings (ohms, speed).
• Assist with line changeovers and feeder identification by size and type in SMT equipment.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety and material-handling policies.
• Handle hazardous waste following procedures and labeling requirements.
