Job summary

Spectra Gutter Systems in Georgia is seeking a Slitter Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thur 2pm-12am) to operate and monitor slitting equipment, load materials, and ensure quality. You will set up machinery, perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production records in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate should have manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to stand for long periods in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Forklift experience reuqired.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mathematical skills including multiplication, division, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform machine setup, adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and production systems.
• Ability to read, write, and maintain accurate production records.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures within a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust slitting equipment to meet production requirements.
• Load and unload materials into slitting machinery.
• Set up, calibrate, and prepare equipment according to production specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality.
• Troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues and report concerns as needed.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory transactions, and required documentation.
• Perform final quality inspections of finished products and paperwork.
• Follow standard operating procedures for machine operation, setup, troubleshooting, and quality testing.
• Utilize computer systems for production reporting and operational tracking.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
