Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership in Milan, OH is seeking a Shipping Material Technician on the 2nd shift. You will operate material handling equipment, follow FIFO methods, and ensure accurate loading, shipping, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent certificate.
• Working knowledge of a computer and its general use to accomplish basic transactions.
• Understanding of FIFO and stock location integrity.
• Able to read shipping instructions and production orders, and to use scales and label printers.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Commitment to quality, service and reliability with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment and complete daily forklift checklist.
• Move materials using FIFO methods to designated areas.
• Identify and address nonconformities in product, process, and quality systems.
• Control processing and delivery of nonconforming product until corrected.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow SOPs.
• Read ship lists and follow shipping instructions precisely.
• Perform daily computer transactions and coordinate with supervisor.
• Pick material/stock and process shipping orders and returns.
• Maintain stock location integrity.
