Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Shift Manager Shipping (2nd Shift) at our Tubular Components facility in Walbridge, OH to direct and monitor the Shipping and Secondary Operations, ensuring material availability and on-time deliveries.

You will lead Shipping, Trucking and related personnel, develop cost-effective shipping practices, supervise safety compliance, and implement corrective actions for quality issues with an emphasis on continuous improvement and reliable distribution.

Qualifications

Five years’ experience in logistics or warehouse supervision of manufactured products.
Proven leadership skills and drive for improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate shipping activities with sales and purchasing to ensure material availability.
Determine most economical shipping practices and manage costs.
Supervise shipping, trucking and secondary personnel to meet efficiency, quality, and safety goals.
Provide instructions for shipments including classifications, rates, routing, and service type.
Investigate and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure safety guidelines are followed and WI/JSA procedures are developed/updated.
