Job summary

Carpenter Co. is hiring a Shipping Clerk/Dock Operator for 2nd shift at the Conover, NC plant. You will assist with unloading/loading, handle paperwork, and maintain staging areas while ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, labeling, and inspecting products, with regular interaction with QC and line staff. High school diploma or GED required; 1 year forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience is required.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn unloading and loading of trucks/trailers.
• Learn paperwork process and shipping documentation.
• Know finished product locations in staging.
• Operate forklift safely and complete related paperwork.
• Label products and inspect quality.
• Work in hot and cold conditions inside trucks.
• Learn to operate and clean balers.
• Function under manufacturing pressures.
