Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to move materials through the Distribution Center, operating order pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners and related equipment. The role includes data entry in SAP and handling lumping/receiving duties to support timely order fulfillment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of experience; may be required to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 30 ft. Competitive benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks and interface with common carriers.
  • Sign bill of ladings for incoming shipments and process IBL, packing lists for receipts from vendors using SAP.
  • Receive product into SAP using barcode scanners or computers and put away in assigned space.
  • Pick products for customer orders and manufacturing orders using scanners, tickets, and pallet jacks.

Job Overview
  • The Shipper / Receiver performs all functions associated with material movement through the Distribution Center, including material handling, paperwork, and recordkeeping. Operates powered order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, electric/manual pallet jacks, stretch wrapping machine, laser scanners, etc. May be required to lift to 50 lbs. and work on highs (up to 30 ft). Follows all DC procedures and demonstrates an understanding of DC standards and goals to achieve total Customer Satisfaction. Perform all functions accurately and in a timely manner. Responsible for knowing and confirming the TE Connectivity Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

Receiving/Put Away
  • Loads and unloads trucks and interfaces with common carriers.
  • Signs bill of ladings for incoming shipments and process IBL, packing lists for receipts from vendors using SAP
  • Checks incoming product against documentation to verify accuracy, sorts of products and prepares it for put away.
  • Receive product into SAP using barcode scanners or computers.
  • Put product away in available space by proper area/zone using order pickers, turret trucks, pallet jacks and barcode scanners.
  • Breaking down / lumping of floor loaded containers.
Picking
  • Picks products for customer orders, manufacturing orders and sample requests using barcode scanners, pick tickets, shipping papers, order pickers, turret trucks and manual or electric pallet jack.
  • Performs other put away and pick duties, such as bin location audits, unit load and carton transfers.
  • Weigh or hand counts quantities needed to fill customer orders, manufacturing orders and sample requests.
What Your Background Should Look Like

1-3 years of experience preferred.

Completion of high school or equivalent is required.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,200 – $49,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
