Schindler Group in Hanover, PA seeks a 2nd Shift Sheet Fab A N to set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment including press brakes and turret punches. You will interpret drawings and manufacturing data, program machines, and ensure quality through inspection and maintenance.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma and involves working the 2nd shift with opportunities for growth and development across the shop floor.

Qualificações

• GED or high school diploma is required.
• Experience reading manufacturing drawings or sketches is preferred.
• Ability to interpret SAP data and follow both written and oral instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Set up, operate, and maintain numerical controlled turret and press brake machines, including programming and tool changes.
• Interpret manufacturing information and drawings to meet specifications for metallic parts.
• Inspect parts against drawings, perform calculations, and address machine issues or wear.
• Move materials, sort parts, deliver, keep area clean, and perform routine machine maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain records, notify supervisors of equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement by editing programs.

Your main responsibilities

The function of this role is to set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment press brakes & turret punch presses to produce a variety of non-repetitive assemblies and parts.

• Interpret and work from manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, SAP, and both written and oral instructions.
• Set up, operate, and maintain numerical controlled turret and press brake machines, including programming, tool changes, and adjustments to meet specifications for a variety of metallic parts.
• Inspect manufactured parts against drawings, perform necessary mathematical calculations, and recognize and address machine malfunctions or tool wear.
• Handle material movement, part sorting, and delivery; maintain a clean and orderly work area; and perform routine machine maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain required records, notify supervisors of equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing suggestions and editing programs as needed.
• Punch, pierce, emboss, blank, notch, slot, and form a variety of metallic parts.
