Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to monitor threats, manage incidents, and review alerts. You report to the Corporate Security Manager and contribute to threat intelligence and incident response.

This is a 2nd shift position (4:00 PM–12:00 AM, Monday–Friday) based in West Chester, PA. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of security experience, preferably with first responder background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; corporate security management preferred.
• 1–3 years of security experience; First Responder background preferred.
• Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems; proficient with MS Office (Excel/Access).

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and security systems across facilities.
• Assess, prioritize, investigate, and coordinate responses to alarms and events.
• Identify threats, coordinate incident response, escalate critical events.
• Monitor facility access activity and provide remote access support.
• Conduct live surveillance, review footage, and preserve evidence.
• Serve as central point of contact for incidents and emergencies; coordinate with personnel.
• Maintain incident reports, alarm logs, and security documentation.
• Identify equipment failures and system deficiencies; report issues.
• Support audits and compliance with security policies and standards.
• Maintain situational awareness and effective shift turnover.

Summary: The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is responsible for day-to-day security threat monitoring and analysis. You will manage security incidents and review security alerts for potential active incidents. Reporting to our Corporate Security Manager, you will work on threat intelligence and incident response that adhere to best practices and control frameworks.

2nd Shift: 4:00PM - 12:00AM, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Security Systems Monitoring: Monitor CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems across multiple facilities.
• Alarm Monitoring and Response: Assess, prioritize, investigate, and coordinate responses to security alarms and system-generated events.
• Incident Management: Identify security threats, coordinate incident response activities, and elevate critical events to appropriate personnel.
• Access Control Support: Monitor facility access activity, investigate access violations, and provide authorized remote access assistance.
• Video Surveillance and Investigations: Conduct live surveillance, review recorded footage, and preserve video evidence for investigations.
• Emergency Communications: Serve as a centralized point of contact for security incidents, emergency notifications, and coordination with facility personnel and first responders.
• Security Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate incident reports, alarm logs, daily activity records, and security-related documentation.
• System Health Monitoring: Identify and report equipment failures, communication issues, and security system deficiencies.
• Security Compliance and Audits: Support security audits, routine system testing, and compliance with corporate security policies and applicable industry standards.
• Operational Continuity: Maintain situational awareness, follow established SOPs, and ensure effective shift communication and turnover.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience. A degree in corporate security management is preferred or relevant work experience

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant security experience
• Prior First Responder (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, etc.) preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of CCTV systems and functions.
• Knowledge of Access Control systems and functions.
• Proficient skills using MS Office with strong experience using Excel and Access.
