Job summary

United Protective Services, Inc. is seeking an Afternoon Security Officer for a prestigious high-rise in the Galleria area (77027). This full-time, 40-hour position on the 2nd shift offers training, support, and growth opportunities while guarding people and property.

Responsibilities include patrols, CCTV monitoring, enforcing rules, incident reporting, and delivering professional customer service. Pay is $15.45 per hour with medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform rigorous foot patrol for an entire shift.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Protect property and people from theft, damage, hazards or interference.
• Enforce property rules to prevent security breaches.
• Conduct property patrols and inspect protection devices.
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems when available.
• Maintain keys and badges securely and inventory equipment.
• Prepare accurate daily incident reports and, if needed, use reporting apps.
• Follow post orders and respond to emergencies with discretion.
• Escort trespassers, communicate with authorities when necessary, and assist visitors.
• Coordinate with security leadership and management as needed.
• Complete training and keep certifications current.
