Job summary

Mattel is seeking an on-site Security Officer for its Distribution Center in Jonestown, PA. The role requires weekend and holiday work, with a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift and a $1.00 second shift differential.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information while maintaining a safe environment. The position is strictly on-site with no remote work, and it involves enforcing security policies, patrolling facilities, and supporting IP protection

Qualifications

• Flexible, collaborative, detail oriented, and strong communication skills are desired.
• Prioritization skills and the ability to adapt to shifting schedules are important.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a valid Security Guard License (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Support Mattel’s Global Security Strategy to protect people, assets, and reputation.
• Enforce security policies to create a safe environment for employees and visitors.
• Complete security duties and incident documentation as directed by Supervisors and Security Leader.
• Monitor access control, CCTV, and guard tour systems to ensure security of the distribution center.
• Conduct patrols of parking lots and assist with IP-related processes per Mattel standards.

This is an on-site positionand includes weekend and holiday work.Schedules may varybased on business needs.

What Your Impact Will Be

• Support Mattel’s Global Security Strategy to protect people, assets, and Mattel’s reputation by providing exceptional customer service and consistently applying policies and practices.
• Enforce Mattel Global Security policies and practices to create a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors.
• Completes security duties and related tasks asdefinedin the Contingency Operations and SOP manuals under the direction of the Security Leader/Shift Supervisorand SecurityManager.
• Completessecurity patrols onfoot, in a vehicleand digitallyto monitor theMattelDistribution Centerforphysicalsecurity, safetyand facilities-related concerns.
• Effectively monitors the access control system, CCTV system, and the "guard tour" management system.
• Monitors the fire control panel for alarms and any problems with equipment. Reports any service/maintenance issues to Maintenance personnel.
• Perform administrative data entry duties as assigned bythe Shift Supervisors and Security Leader,for incident documentation and communications viathe Microsoft suite.
• Ensureadherenceto access control standardsincludingtheemployeebadge policy,visitor registration,temporary or contract workercheck-insandintern badging along withother visitor types.
• Ensureparking lot safetyby conducting patrols of the parking lots, enforcing parking lot rules and completingaccidentinvestigations.
• Support IP (IntellectualProperty)processsurrounding confidentiality andcontrolleddestructionof IPper Mattel standards.
• Additionalresponsibilitiesas assigned bysupervisor ormanager.
• Flexibility to work on multiple shiftsand/or shift timesto support business needs.
• This is an onsite position and does not allow for remote work.

The schedule for this role is Saturday - Wednesday, with Thursdays and Fridays off.

Hours for the shift are 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.

2nd shift differential is + $1.00.

Qualifications

• One+ years of Security, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement or military background preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a valid Security Guard License. (IF APPLICABLE)
• Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens, OR be willing to obtain certification through training provided by Mattel (annual training provided).
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and with all levels of the organization in the performance of daily dutiesvia multiple communicationmethods and platforms
• Analyticalabilities to think critically makingclear, well-reasoned rational decisions.
• Ability to effectively respond to all types of situations in a confidential manner. Possess the ability toremain calmduringanemergency or stressfulsituation.
• Working knowledge of PCs and software including MS Windows, Microsoft Office,CCTV and access control is a plus.
• Must be able to work varying shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpretgeneral business policies, professional journals, technical procedures,or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports,andbusiness correspondence,including detailed incident reports writing.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk, go up/downstairs and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Outdoor postassignments mayrequire an individual to withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold and/or severe weather (e.g. snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind).
• Ability to usepost-securityequipment (handheld and walk-thru metal detectors,handheldradios, access control systems, CCTV).
