Job summary

Parkway Schools is seeking a School Bus Mechanic for the 2nd shift at the Transportation Building. This year-round, 8-hour position runs 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is non-exempt. Starting pay is $25.67 per hour, with pay dependent on verifiable experience. Ideal candidates diagnose and repair vehicle systems, fabricate parts, inspect buses, install/maintain equipment, and participate in safety meetings to keep our fleet in safe operating condition.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle maintenance or school transportation is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicle malfunctions and determines repairs or replacements.
• Inspects and maintains buses and related equipment.
• Installs and maintains radios, cameras, lifts, and other components.
• Keeps records and participates in safety meetings.
