Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group in Indianapolis is seeking a Sanitation Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm). You will uphold cleanliness across production areas, follow the Master Sanitation Schedule, and support sanitation in multiple departments to maintain a safe working environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to understand written and verbal English instructions, strong teamwork and communication, and the stamina to stand for long

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand written and oral English instructions.

• Good job performance and attendance records.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and follows all safety guidelines.
• Performs general cleaning in plant areas (production lines, warehouse, offices, break room).
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms and manage trash.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids.
• Clean windows and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Stock GMP dispensers.
• Remove trash from production and operate trash compactors and cardboard balers.
• Operate and clean floor scrubbers, foot baths, and Charm readers.
