Mt. Olive Pickle Co., Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Sanitation Forklift Operator to maintain cleanliness of the Main Plant and DC Plant in compliance with food safety standards. The role includes operating a forklift to transport waste and materials while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities include sanitizing floors and equipment, adhering to USDA/FDA/HACCP guidelines, completing pre-operational checks, and coordinating with supervision to maintain stock of cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) with forklift, food safety or sanitation experience a plus.
• Certified forklift operator.
• Previous forklift experience in food manufacturing or sanitation preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize food production areas, floors, walls, equipment and machinery per safety standards.
• Operate forklift at safe speeds, watching for pedestrians and vehicles.
• Complete daily Pre-Operational Checklist and report forklift issues.
• Transport trash and recyclables with forklift to designated areas and return bins.
• Utilize bailers to manage cardboard and plastics for recycling and monitor stock of cleaning supplies.
• Adhere to USDA, FDA, HACCP guidelines and company sanitation procedures.
