Job summary

Misfits Market in Northlake, IL seeks a Sanitation Associate to keep the facility clean and in sanitary condition for safety of the team and customers. You will follow GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA standards while supporting day-to-day sanitation responsibilities in a fast-growing food operation.

Schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid vacation and holidays, and an $18.00 hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedure,s including food safety rules, safe handling of materials, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
• Perform sanitation- and hygiene-related duties as assigned by Maintenance Tech using approved cleaning procedures and practices.
• Monitor chemical dilution of detergents and food contact sanitizers..
• Proactively assess and address hazards in the FC such as puddles, unclean food surfaces, and waste build-up. Escalate any sanitation issues to the Maintenance Tech.
• Prepare and log donations for our donation partners.
• Assist with logging and appropriately disposing of damaged items.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment, including proper storage of products and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor and maintain sanitation inventory levels, partnering with the Maintenance Tech for reorders.
• May use computers or tablets for record-keeping, communication, and training.
• Support Operations with different duties as needed.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all parts of the facility are cleaned and in sanitary condition for the safety of our team and our customers.
