Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications. The role requires securing and maintaining correct components and supplies for the operation.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, assembling parts per instructions, operating hand tools, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace while adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete assembly.
• Stacks completed products and may label/band components.
• Ensures a safe, clean, organized work area and safe equipment.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection.
• Maintains clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Follows safety and quality procedures and participates in programs.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Perform(s) other duties as assigned

Hourly/Salary Pay Range

Houry/Salary Pay Range: $17.00 hourly dependent on experience with a $0.75 per hour shift differential For hourly positions with incentive pay: A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
