Job summary

Daifuku is seeking a Roller Assembler in Hobart, Indiana for full-time 2nd shift (1:30 PM–10:00 PM). The role focuses on completing assembly and packaging according to procedures, reading drawings, and using measurement tools, with safety as priority.

You’ll inspect work, record status, follow instructions, and contribute to continuous improvement in a team oriented environment. Requires high school diploma and at least 1 year assembly experience; readiness for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of machine assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing assembly based on drawings and supervisor instructions
• Following supervisors' instructions of work to be performed
• Performing self-inspection of work to ensure quality and compliance to specifications
• Using computer to record assembly status
• Following safety instructions and rules
• Working overtime and assigned shifts as needed

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of machine assembly experience

• Ability to read and understand complex assembly drawings and blueprints
• Basic computer knowledge
• Knowledge of hand tools, and power tools

ADA Requirements

• Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move object.
• Stooping Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
• Kneeling Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
• Crouching Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

• Hearing Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
• Visual The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
