Job Overview

Do you have a passion for helping people and healthcare? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional for a fully remote role focused on resolving prescription (Rx) claims and providing exceptional customer service. This is a ticket-driven position with additional phone support, requiring strict adherence to HIPAA standards and meticulous record-keeping.

Schedule: Monday through Friday / 40 hours / Contract to Hire. Permanent schedule: 12PM - 9PM CST. Training scheduled for the first 5 weeks: 8:30AM-5:00PM CST. This role is 100% remote; equipment will be provided. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test, and provide high-speed internet at home and a HIPAA-compliant workspace.

Responsibilities

• Providing information about prescription (Rx) claims processing.
• Maintaining detailed records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
• Workload is primarily driven by assigned tickets, with additional support on phone lines based on call volumes.
• Reviewing Rx insurance policy terms to determine claim coverage for employer groups.
• Contacting customers to provide claim investigation results or inform them of planned adjustments.
• Resolving customer service or billing complaints by assessing the validity of grievances and determining causes.
• Referring unresolved issues to designated departments for further investigation.
• Adhering to all HIPAA regulations concerning PHI.
• Being adaptable, as duties and responsibilities may change based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Active State Pharmacy License OR CPhT (active or recently expired) required.
• 2+ years of experience in the healthcare field.
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and handling PHI.
• Ability to work in a remote environment with provided equipment and a dedicated HIPAA-compliant workspace; must have high-speed internet.
• Pass background check and drug test.
• Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills; ability to handle ticket-driven workload with phone support as needed.
