Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician I for the 2nd shift to support inpatient care, preparing and delivering medications to nursing units and other departments. Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and RPhT upon hire; 2 years retail pharmacy experience and sterile IV certification are strongly preferred.

Inpatient hospital experience is highly valued, with weekend/holiday rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required.
• 2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Sterile IV Certification highly preferred.
• Prior inpatient hospital experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency in English, computers, and basic math including conversions.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate preparation and delivery of medications to nursing units and departments.
• Maintaining accuracy and required competencies, and documenting in line with Patient Safety standards.
• Ongoing professional development and growth, manages own time and leads by example.
• Communicate effectively and train new employees on routine tasks under supervision.
• Shared responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs and improving processes.
