Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a production associate for 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am, M-F) in Indianapolis, IN. The role pays $21/hr and requires basic math, weight measurement, forklift operation, and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will maintain logs, run production lines, and ensure proper packaging and RIS updates.

Qualifications

Ability to perform basic math calculations (gross, tare, net).
Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and perform basic lifts.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 55 pounds.
Detail-oriented with accurate log keeping and data entry.
Flexibility to work different shifts as needed by the business.

Responsibilities

Set up, run, shut down, troubleshoot and clean production lines.
Maintain and complete production ledgers and quality control logs.
Compute weights for each box and document correctly.
Take samples and report any inequities to lab personnel and supervisor.
Update Run Instruction Sheet (RIS) as needed and communicate changes.
Keep work area clean and organized throughout the shift.
