Job description

General Summary

Unloads and receives all inbound merchandise. Checks accuracy before receiving merchandise into the Catalyst/WMS system. Utilizes a lumper service. Builds and secures pallets for storage. Properly processes required paperwork. Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Verifies purchase orders, ensuring bills of lading match items on the purchase order and that all information matches corresponding paperwork (inner pack, dimensions, and carton quantity), counting all products to ensure data accuracy. Achieves set standards (engineer or productivity) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Constructs pallets in accordance with dimensions on paperwork and sets up dimensions and pallet (height/tie). Notifies Inventory Control if an item has no pick slot. Instructs the lumper service in proper building of pallets per company procedures to ensure freight is unloaded timely. Applies proper decal/license and secures pallet using shrink‑wrap or tape. Processes paperwork, ensuring it is signed, reconciled, and correct. Receives approval for changes by notifying slot clerk of discrepancies. Informs management of any delays. Completes daily PIT checklist to ensure equipment functions properly and reports defects. Operates PIT equipment safely and follows safety procedures. Maintains organized work area and promotes safety. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Experience: Counting skills required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Requires adequate fitness level for frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping, and kneeling. May operate PIT equipment. Personal Protective Equipment required.

Working Conditions

Work in a non‑climate controlled distribution or warehouse environment with varying temperatures. May be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. EPA and OSHA regulations apply.

Availability

Shift work with willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
