Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Apopka, FL is seeking a 2nd Shift-Quality Receiving Inspector 3 to support the Inspection team. The role performs receiving, in-process and final inspections on mechanical parts and assemblies, reading drawings and applying quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with several years of mechanical inspection experience, familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001, and the ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and at least 4 years of mechanical inspection experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and inspection documentation.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security clearance.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsabilités

• Clearly, accurately, and concisely communicate potential defects to quality engineers for disposition.
• Inspect, verify, and validate parts and assemblies of mechanical, electrical, optical, structural components or systems meet engineering and program requirements.
• Work after rework, adjustment, or repair.
• Monitors and verifies that product quality is in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and other control procedures.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Maintains necessary inspection documentation, writes inspection reports, and enters inspection data and defect information into a computer database.
• Frequently interfaces with internal teams across the organization and external customers and contacts.
• Participates in team activities and provides expertise and guidance for effective problem-resolution.
• Audits processes and activities in accordance with documented procedures.
