Job summary

BOSCH-HC is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Engineer to lead quality response and containment for manufacturing operations. You will drive rapid decisions to maintain production continuity while protecting product quality, escalate issues per BOSCH standards, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and logistics to resolve concerns efficiently.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing quality or production engineering experience.
Experience leading structured problem-solving activities (A3, 8D, DMAIC, 5 Why).
Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) is preferred.
Knowledge of Quality Core Tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC, MSA) is expected.
Proficiency with shopfloor quality systems; Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead Quality Support for 2nd Shift Operations to maintain production continuity and product quality.
Drive rapid containment actions for internal quality issues, customer concerns, supplier issues, and production abnormalities.
Coordinate quality escalation per BOSCH standards to protect customer satisfaction and production stability.
Work with Manufacturing, Production, Logistics, and Engineering teams to quickly resolve issues while ensuring safety.
Lead structured problem-solving activities (8D, QRQC, A3, 5 Why, Ishikawa) and ensure corrective actions.
Perform shopfloor quality verification via LPC, audits, and Gemba to ensure BOSCH Quality Standards.
Support disposition decisions for non-conforming materials with MRB and cross-functional teams.
Monitor daily quality performance and drive improvement actions to reduce COPQ.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance capability and standardization.
Maintain documentation of incidents, containment, investigations, deviations, and corrective actions.
Ensure effective shift handovers and communication of open issues and risks.
