Job summary

PacAero in Agawam, MA is seeking a 2nd shift QC Inspector (Machining) to inspect high‑precision machined components used in aerospace applications, ensuring parts meet drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements before moving to production.

You’ll use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators and Visual CMMs, interpret GD&T, and collaborate with Machining, Quality and Engineering to resolve issues and maintain audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• 1–5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience inspecting precision CNC machined components preferred.
• GD&T knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final visual, dimensional, and microscopic inspections of precision machined components.
• Inspect parts to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements; document results.
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gages, optical comparators, and Visual CMMs.
• Collaborate with Machining, Plating, Quality, and Engineering to investigate discrepancies and resolve quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, audit-ready inspection area and follow safety procedures.
