Job summary

Havis, Inc. in Warminster, PA seeks a Quality Control Inspector for the 2nd shift (2:45pm-12:45am, Mon-Thurs) to support factory production through inspections of first-pieces, in-process materials, prototypes, and finished goods.

You will analyze engineering drawings to define inspection procedures, use calipers, gauges, and micrometers, record results, reject nonconforming items, and assist in CAPAs and audits while maintaining strict safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience using calipers, gauges, and micrometers in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings.
• Must be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to communicate professionally both inside and outside of the company by email and phone.
• Corrected 20/20 vision.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting and standing.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to support factory production on various materials and goods.
• Provide front-line support to production determining acceptance criteria.
• Support investigations into quality issues, including quarantining suspect materials.
• Analyze drawings, data, and manuals to determine specs and inspection procedures.
• Inspect and measure materials using rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Record inspection data and mark items with grade and status.
• Reject nonconforming products and assist in CAPAs and engineering changes.
• Discuss results with product personnel and recommend corrective actions.
• Notify supervisors of production problems and assist in corrective actions.
• Perform calibrations and participate in audits; train personnel.
• Keep records of corrective actions, audit results, and changes.
• Other related tasks as directed.
