Job summary

IES in Tulsa, OK seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure raw materials, in-process production, and finished products meet company and industry quality standards. You will inspect products, maintain records, identify defects, and recommend process improvements to enhance quality. Experience with QC procedures, testing methodologies, and inspection equipment is preferred.

This role requires lifting 30-50 lbs and standing on concrete, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality testing machines, systems, and inspection tools.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret instructions, blueprints, and specifications to understand quality expectations.
• Inspect and approve or reject raw materials based on established quality standards.
• Select output samples and perform inspections using appropriate measuring tools and testing methods.
• Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare against specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, including detailed reports and performance logs.
• Monitor and ensure production processes align with quality and safety standards.
• Check gauges and testing equipment for proper functionality and notify the supervisor if maintenance is required.
• Prepare, scan, and electronically file quality control reports.
• Recommend improvements to production and quality control processes.
• Educate production team members on quality control best practices when requested.
• Address and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
• Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and properly tag defective materials until dispositioned.
