Job summary

IES is seeking a Quality Inspector in Tulsa to ensure raw materials, in-process and finished products meet standards. You will inspect, record findings, and suggest process improvements while upholding safety and quality policies.

The role requires inspecting equipment, maintaining logs, and coordinating with the production team to resolve issues and tag non-conforming materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with quality control procedures, testing methodologies and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret instructions, blueprints, and specifications to understand quality expectations.
• Inspect and approve or reject raw materials based on established quality standards.
• Select output samples and perform inspections using appropriate measuring tools and testing methods.
• Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare against specifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, including detailed reports and performance logs.
• Monitor and ensure production processes align with quality and safety standards.
• Check gauges and testing equipment for proper functionality and notify the supervisor if maintenance is required.
• Prepare, scan, and electronically file quality control reports.
• Recommend improvements to production and quality control processes.
• Educate production team members on quality control best practices when requested.
• Address and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
• Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and properly tag defective materials until dispositioned.
