Job summary

WaveCrest Staffing Group seeks a 2nd shift Quality Control Inspector with medical device manufacturing experience and strong blueprint reading skills. The role pays $45,000–$52,000/year and runs Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM in Rahway, NJ. Direct Hire.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting materials, measuring with precision tools, and using electronic inspection equipment. Experience with CMMs/3D scanners is a plus.

Qualifications

• Medical device manufacturing experience is required.
• Blueprint reading experience is required.
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Experience with electronic inspection equipment and quality software preferred.
• Experience with CMMs or 3D scanners is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Monitor production operations and recommend process adjustments when needed.
• Measure products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.
• Perform testing and inspections using electronic equipment and software.
• Operate inspection equipment, including CMMs and 3D scanners.
• Approve or reject raw materials and finished products based on specifications.
• Identify and remove products or materials that do not meet requirements.
• Document inspection and test results accurately.
• Track and report supplier and product performance.
• Prepare inspection reports for Quality Management.
• Work closely with production teams to identify opportunities to reduce material waste and improve efficiency.
• Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures.
