Job summary

PurposeBuilt Brands Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Control Inspector in Gurnee, IL. You will ensure raw materials and finished products meet QC standards and interact with production, purchasing, and shipping.

Typical duties include inspecting materials, documenting defects, validating the filling line, and training staff on QC procedures. Shift runs Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, onsite with competitive pay and benefits.

2nd Shift - Quality Control Inspector

Salary Range: $20.00 To $27.00 Hourly

Job Location: Onsite – Gurnee, IL

The Role:

The Quality Control Inspector ensures finished products and raw materials meet quality control requirements and interacts with production, purchasing, and shipping departments.

What You Will Do:

• Inspect the quality of raw materials and outsourced products requiring incoming inspection.
• Document defective findings and communicate quality issues to supply chain to resolve them.
• Check the filling line before each production run to ensure: all packaging materials from the previous run are removed, the line is cleaned and validated (if required), and correct packaging types are present.
• Inspect finished products for fill weight, heat seal, color and odor, lot number, application and removal torque, general appearance, pallet configurations, and other criteria.
• Document quality control findings and review daily production batch records.
• Archive production records and associated quality documents.
• Train production personnel on quality procedures.
• Work with the production department to resolve quality issues with finished products.
• Perform detailed quality control inspection of first runs of new products.

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
