Job summary

Resource Label Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Assurance Technician to inspect raw materials and finished goods, ensuring compliance with product specs. You will work with design, production, and client services teams to address quality concerns and maintain high standards.

The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with printing processes and Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to stand during inspections in a production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree or certificate in graphic design, printing, or related field preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• 1–2 years in quality assurance, graphic design, printing, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in design, color, and print quality.
• Knowledge of printing techniques, digital design software, and file preparation.
• Familiarity with print production processes, color theory, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in inspections and testing.
• Comfortable working with printing equipment and machinery in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate graphic products for quality and consistency.
• Ensure colors, typography, images meet standards and client specs.
• Conduct tests on prints including color matching and alignment.
• Monitor production processes for adherence to workflows and best practices.
• Review pre-production proofs and samples for accuracy.
• Ensure final product meets finish, texture, and durability specs.
• Maintain records of inspections, testing results, and actions.
• Prepare and report findings on defects to relevant departments.
• Document improvements or changes required in production.
• Collaborate with design, production, and client services teams on quality concerns.
• Provide feedback to production staff to sustain quality.
• Prepare tailgate samples per customer requirements and release jobs.
• Assist with training staff on QA practices and process improvements.
• Investigate and resolve production defects or design discrepancies.
• Assist in troubleshooting printing or design-related issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for quality and efficiency.
• Suggest workflow improvements and technology upgrades.
