Manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician 2nd Shift
Full‑time, Permanent, 2nd Shift. Compensation starts at USD 19.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect manufactured materials against company quality standards.
- Train manufacturing personnel to uphold quality standards.
- Collaborate with teams to define and implement robust process controls and error‑proof solutions that ensure product conformity.
- Investigate nonconforming material, determine root cause, and document findings for vendors and production lines.
- Work independently in a plant manufacturing setting for 80 %+ of the time.
- Respond to problems on the manufacturing floor and follow up on root‑cause and corrective actions.
- Perform additional duties as required, including occasional overtime (typically Monday‑Friday).
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2‑5 years of quality or manufacturing experience in a non‑electronics/non‑food setting.
- Experience using measuring equipment (tape measure required, calipers preferred).
- Basic knowledge of inspection equipment and technical drawings.
- Understanding of quality systems and tolerances.
- Strong interest in process improvement and problem‑solving.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Intermediate spoken and written English proficiency.
- Ability to visually inspect parts and distinguish conforming from nonconforming parts.
- Decision‑making ability with documentation support.
- Effective written and verbal communication with team members, departments, and vendors.
- Ability to multi‑task, manage stressful situations, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Mathematical calculation proficiency as needed.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred: Knowledge of window quality specifications and home construction.
