Job summary

Kids for the Future in South Portland, ME, seeks a Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift (2:30PM–11:00PM). You will respond quickly to quality and machine issues, work with engineering on improvements, and support the production floor to minimize downtime.

The role requires hands-on mechanical or hydraulic experience, plus the ability to troubleshoot, measure components, and communicate clearly across teams. Proficiency with AB PLCs and LabVIEW is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical and/or hydraulic experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface with electromechanical systems; AB PLCs, NI LabVIEW, etc.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
• Repair and maintain equipment, including test stand instrumentation and hydraulic components.
• Collect and organize data for quick analysis using spreadsheets and charts.
