Job summary

Greif is hiring a Production Associate for a second shift (2:30 PM – 12:30 AM, Mon–Thu with overtime). You will safely set up equipment, read work orders, perform precision measurement tasks, and assist with changeovers.

The role includes quality checks, process improvements, and adherence to CSAR quality systems. Qualifications include a high school diploma, basic communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read and understand work orders and measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Willing to work a 10-hour shift 2:30 pm–12:30 am Mon–Thu with overtime on Fri/Sat.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform bending, twisting, and walking during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up equipment to meet production requirements.
• Read and interpret work orders to understand packaging requirements.
• Read fractions and convert to decimals; read a tape measure; use calipers and micrometers.
• Assist with changeovers between work orders to meet specifications.
• Assist with mandrel installation and adjustment during setup.
• Communicate quality concerns and device issues to the machine operator.
• Remove finished cores and stack them onto pallets or trays.
• Perform periodic quality checks using the CSAR quality system.
• Identify nylon cutting sleeves and changes as needed.
• Troubleshoot and correct quality issues (double cuts, burrs, etc.).
• Comply with OPEX recordkeeping and root-cause analysis methods.
