Job summary

Signature Sauces is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Team Member in Independence, OH. No experience is required as on‑the‑job training is provided, and the role offers benefits starting on day one. You may be scheduled on Saturdays based on production needs.

The position involves packaging products, performing line inspections, and ensuring HACCP and allergen controls are followed. A dynamic team environment and opportunities to grow are offered in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• No education or experience is required.
• Ability to read and write in English for paperwork.
• Able to read production boards, paperwork and labels to ensure correct product identification.
• Basic arithmetic for inventory counts.

Responsibilities

• Packs product from the production line into correct packaging material.
• Performs visual inspections at various points on the line to confirm equipment performance.
• Handle up to 50 lb cases.
• Start and shut down packaging equipment.
• Stage packaging and other materials for next shift's production.
• Keep the production floor clean and free of clutter.
• Help out in other departments such as Dish or Load.
• Help take out trash and other housekeeping tasks.
• Maintain communication with supervisor, operators, and coworkers.
• Comply with HACCP, FDA and other governing body requirements.
• Comply with Allergen Management and GMPs.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Packs product from production line into correct packaging material via various line stations.
• Performs visual inspections at various points on the production line to confirm equipment performance.

• Keeping the production floor clean and free of clutter

Education and/or Experience

• No education or experience is needed.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and write in English for paperwork and the ability to understand English for training purposes.
• Able to read production board, paperwork, and labels to ensure the correct product identification, packaging materials, and storage location.

Mathematical Skills

• Basic addition and subtraction for inventory counts

Physical Demands

• The majority of your shift is spent on your feet and walking about. While performing the duties of this job, you are frequently required to stand, stoop, twist, reach, stretch, kneel, bend, and walk. You may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• The noise level is usually moderately loud but can be quiet on some days. The work environment is quick paced in close quarters. The plant floor can get rather hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
