Job summary

Rhodes Wolfe is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead afternoon operations in a metal fabrication environment. You will oversee welding, fabrication, and related processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while guiding a team to meet KPIs.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing supervision and metals, with experience reading blueprints and applying lean principles. This full-time position offers benefits and a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of metals manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic math proficiency including fractions and geometry.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lb. and assist with team lifts up to 100 lb.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop second shift production employees while promoting a safety-first culture.
• Carry out company quality policy with commitment to customers and continuous improvement.
• Supervise daily operations of welding, fabrication, sawing, punching, blasting, powder coating.
• Oversee robotic welding operations: setup, programming, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Schedule production activities and assign work to meet production goals and KPIs.
• Monitor production, labor, and efficiency while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Train and mentor employees, manage performance, and approve timekeeping records.
• Develop team with collective responsibility mindset, “can do” attitude, & clear communication.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with other supervisors and management.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.
