Job summary

Healthcare Linen Services Group in Batavia, IL seeks a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to lead multiple production areas, coach staff, and maintain safety, quality and productivity on the floor.

A high school diploma and 6 months to 1 year of related production experience are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. The role offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company match, paid holidays and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Be able to stand for up to 10 hours
• Sufficient manual dexterity for production tasks
• Push/pull soil/clean carts up to 800 lbs
• Meet physical requirements including bending, twisting, pulling
• Management skills to organize and direct self and others

• Accurate and thorough in work
• Strong written and verbal communication

• Ability to develop others through training
• Must be a High School Graduate
• 6 months to 1 year of related production experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and diverse production operators
• Ensure staffing and workloads are balanced across areas
• Maintain workflow on production floor and soil sort
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and meet quality standards
• Use metrics and visual indicators to track performance and provide feedback
• Enforce company policies and provide supervision
• Provide training and coaching to department staff
• Coordinate with HR on hiring and training needs
• Approve PTO and leave schedules
• Introduce employees to company objectives, policies, and safety standards
• Improve production performance and reduce labor waste
• Review performance with management regularly
• Coordinate repairs with Maintenance
• Respond promptly to customer concerns
• Maintain 5S and orderly plant organization
• Set goals and deadlines aligned with company objectives
• Prepare performance reports and recommend promotions
• Monitor production floor and breaks to minimize downtime
