Job summary

Paycor in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift for a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive environment. You will lead a team of hourly production associates, drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, and promote a culture of continuous improvement on the production floor.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, experience with Lean/Six Sigma, knowledge of production scheduling, ERP/MES systems, and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience considered.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing.
Experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing is required.

Responsibilities

Lead hourly production employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
Drive a culture of safety and ensure OSHA compliance and policy adherence.
Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions to hit schedules.
Ensure adherence to standardized work, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Investigate production, quality, and safety issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Coordinate staffing, overtime, and cross-training to meet demand.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, and HR to resolve issues and improve plant performance.
Lead shift start-up meetings, communicate KPIs, and provide performance feedback.
Monitor OEE, scrap, and downtime; identify improvement opportunities.
Support new product launches, APQP activities, and process validations.
Drive continuous improvement via Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methods.
Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 where applicable, and company policies.
Complete production reports and administrative duties; foster teamwork and accountability.
