Job summary

ABB in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Second Shift Production Supervisor to ensure efficient and cost‑effective production that meets demand, quality, and planning targets through coordination of plant equipment, personnel, and processes. This role is on-site and reports to the Production Manager.

Working second shift (Mon–Fri, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.), you will lead a team, drive safety and continuous improvement, and collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate’s Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 6 years experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean 6 Sigma Certification.
  • Shopfloor Display familiarity.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) proficiency.
  • SAP and Workday familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production schedules meet demand volume requirements and inventory service levels.
  • Prepare and maintain departmental schedules; act as backup supervisor; manage timekeeping and HR tasks.
  • Identify deficiencies, recommend improvements, and oversee implementation to boost productivity and quality.
  • Lead and develop the Fort Smith team; enforce policies and foster a professional environment.
  • Ensure safety, quality standards and resolve equipment/production issues with cross-functional teams.

Facilitate training, enforce company policies, and foster a professional, collaborative environment as part of the Fort Smith, AR Management Team.Safety, Quality & Issue Resolution: Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.
