Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is seeking a production packer to ensure precise packing operations and maintain quality across all packages. The role collaborates with operators and QA to keep the packing area functioning at top efficiency.

Responsibilities include packing bags into master cases, verifying codes and labels, and ensuring correct case configurations. The position requires adherence to GMP/SQF standards and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Production/operations preferred but not required.
• Understands Safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of applicable production management system (prod).
• Detail oriented, good organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to operate powered equipment.
• Dependable, responsible team player.
• Understanding of procedures in other production areas for a global view.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladder etc.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pack retail bags into a master case.
• Ensure quality and integrity of packages (codes, seal, label, weight).
• Verify accuracy of case configuration (bags per case).
• Load Hopper with raw products to start production.
• Stack pallets.
• Maintain cleanliness of the area.
• Notify machine operator, supervisor, or QA/QC when issues arise.
• Adhere to GMP and Food Safety standards.
• Perform other related tasks during packaging operations as assigned by Supervisor.
• Follow HACCP and SQF policies for location.
