A leading food manufacturing company in New York is seeking a motivated individual to join their packaging team. Responsibilities include filling trays, inspecting products, and maintaining a clean work area. Ideal candidates should have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in food, and possess good communication and math skills. Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred; food manufacturing is a plus.
• Must have good oral and communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Must follow all GMPs and work consistent with food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to work individually and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Picks up cookies and fills trays or cases according to package count or weight.
• Streamline finished product prior to entering packout equipment.
• Keeps packaging area stocked with proper packaging materials.
• Periodic scale “tare checks” when needed.
• Inspecting product.
• Assemble boxes.
• Sorting and weighing waste.
• Tearing down, cleaning and re-assembling equipment used in processing of finished product.
• Self-motivated with initiative and good organizational skills.
• May fill in for absent employees in other positions.

Description

• Picks up cookies and fills trays or cases according to package count or weight
• Streamline finished product prior to entering packout equipment
• Keeps packaging area stocked with proper packaging materials
• Periodic scale “tare checks” when needed
• Inspecting product
• Assemble boxes
• Sorting and weighing waste
• Work in close proximity with other employees. Depending on production variety warrants 30 minute rotation
• Responsible for tearing down, cleaning and re-assembling of any equipment used in the processing of finished product
• Must be able to perform all required duties safely and report any unsafe conditions to lead/supervisor
• Clean work equipment and work area as needed
• May be required to fill in for absent employees in other positions
• Performs other related duties as directed by lead or supervisor
• Must be self-motivated, show initiative and good organizational skills

Requirements
