Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Grayslake, IL, seeks a Production Operator II for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11pm). You will set up and operate machines, read BOMs and blueprints, and assemble parts to meet customer requirements.

You will collaborate with the Cell Lead and Quality to inspect during production, use air and power tools, and keep a clean, safe work area. Excel skills and basic computer knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Excel.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Communicate effectively. Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Knowledge of equipment such as air/power tools, micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures, and gauges.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Work with Quality to conduct inspections during production and verify specs.
• Operate air and power tools as needed to aid manufacturing.
• Maintain productivity at or above production standards.
• Follow safety rules and safe procedures.
• Keep tools and supplies organized and work area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
