Job purpose: The Production Shift Manager is responsible for all production functions: Kitchen, Make-Up, and Packaging. This individual directs and monitors the daily activities of all Supervisors, Leads, and work area employees, ensuring all scheduled orders are completed per the production plan, GMP compliant, and aligned with Food Safety Policies.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Manage and direct all daily activities of Production Supervisors, Leads, and their employees.
2. Efficiently supervise the production of scheduled orders in compliance with GMP standards.
3. Collaborate with QA, Warehouse, Logistics, and other departments to execute planned programs.
4. Train and supervise Production staff personnel.
5. Adhere to policies regarding FIFO, HOLDS, and expiry of materials.
6. Maintain and improve production cost-controls, headcounts, and line efficiencies.
7. Model and support CandyCo's Safety Culture, striving for 100% safety policy compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a supervisory/lead role in production.
• Trustworthy, honest, with high integrity.
• Excellent safety record and champion of safety culture.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish), not required.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and math skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, with good judgment and positive demeanor.
• Experience with SAP, ROSS, PLEX, or other ERP systems is a plus or ability to learn.

Working conditions: Must be able to work any/all shifts, including overtime, holidays, and weekends. Standing/walking for long periods, performing pre-shift exercises, and wearing PPE are required.

Physical requirements: Ability to work on feet for 8+ hours, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and perform various physical activities.

Direct reports: Production Supervisors and Line Leads as needed.

Position status: Full-time, Mid-Senior level.
