Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, a subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc., seeks a 2nd Shift Production Operations Supervisor for its Clinton, IL plant. You will oversee multiple activities, manage output, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in metal fabrication/welding, blueprint knowledge, and availability for 2nd shift (6:00pm–4:30am). Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor6 degree in engineering preferred.
• 5+ years leadership experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience in metal fabrication or welding, flux and metal core welding preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts related to transmission poles.
• High degree of dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics.
• Regular and predictable attendance, great attitude, and teamwork.
• Availability to work 2nd Shift - 6:00pm-4:30am.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow safety procedures, serve on safety committees, and complete safety audits.
• Manage daily production operations of heavy industrial products for the assigned work group.
• Set production schedules based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Coach employees on work quality and quantity; resolve issues as they arise.
• Ensure production of sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production cost.
• Assist in continuous improvement activities to move materials through production processes.
• Manage hourly employees, monitor and approve time sheets and logs.
• Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper training.
• Manage all fit-up and welding processes for assigned work groups and bays, ensuring adherence to policies.
