Job summary

Nordson EFD in Connecticut is seeking a Production Lead to assist the Production Supervisor with coordinating efficient production activities, ensuring quality and safety. You will lead Production Associates, set priorities, operate equipment, train staff, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining housekeeping and environmental safety.

The role requires hands-on leadership on the 2nd shift, close collaboration with quality and maintenance teams, and a commitment to meeting production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Prior experience using scales preferred.
• Some mechanical capability & computer skills required. SAP experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with a passion to deliver excellence is essential.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Supervisor in determining daily production needs and assign to Production Associates accordingly.
• Set up assembly jobs and perform line clearances.
• Lead Production Associates on the team to work safely and efficiently to meet all production requirements.
• Train, instruct, and supervise employees using established production methods to produce a quality product safely and timely.
• Act as backup to Group Leader as needed.
• Track and communicate daily goals and operate required equipment to meet production schedules.
• Collaborate with other production areas to resolve quality problems.
• Practice good housekeeping and environmental safety measures.
• Willing to cross-train in other areas as needed.
