Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Production Lead for the Rendering line on 2nd shift at our Milan, MO facility. This onsite role focuses on maintaining safe, high‑quality meat processing while guiding and supporting production teammates throughout the shift.

You’ll work with hand tools and equipment, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and help train staff. The position requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 lbs, and tolerate cold and humid production areas;

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Able to work in cold/warm, wet and humid production environments.
• Ability to follow oral/written instructions and work overtime if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate/oversee rendering line equipment and hand tools to process meat products.
• Support management and train production employees for efficient, safe operations.
• Maintain safety, quality, and cleanliness standards throughout shift.
