ABOUT THE ROLE

2nd SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 4pm-2:30am

PAY: $25.18 + $1.00 Shift Differential

The Production Forklift operator is responsible for transporting materials in a production setting in various locations of the facility in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  1. Safely operate mobile equipment in a safe manner.
  2. Perform piece counts, labeling, and visual quality of finished goods.
  3. Move production supplies from the warehouse and load in specified designated areas.
  4. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.)
  5. Control and adjust machine settings.
  6. Identify damages, and report any shortages.
  7. Test the operation of machines periodically.
  8. Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
  9. Complete Production/Activity Logs.
  10. Track/move work in process to/from various production areas and finished goods into the Warehouse.
  11. Maintain the 5S posture of the assigned area.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  1. Basic Math, Language, reading, and communication skills.
  2. Basic computer skills.
  3. Ability to handle equipment in a safe and sensible manner.
  4. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs including use of lifting assistance devices.
  5. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  6. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel as required.
  7. Ability to operate mobile equipment as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The working conditions include an indoor, dusty non-temperature controlled, industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.
