Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Position Details
  • Location: Albert Lea, MN
  • Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week minimum
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts (start times vary)
Job Summary

Design Ready Controls specializes in control panel building. We are seeking a Production Assembler I to perform tasks such as wiring, sheet metal assembly, component setup, and panel wiring. Basic schematic reading skills and a willingness to learn electrical symbols are required.

Responsibilities
  • Verify parts against the Bill of Materials
  • Assemble electrical panels according to drawings, including wiring and mounting components
  • Terminate wires and add terminals as needed
  • Prepare panels for testing and shipment, including labeling and wire organization
  • Troubleshoot basic wiring issues and escalate when necessary
  • Identify process improvements and report to leadership
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Implement 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Participate in training and uphold company values: Innovation, Collaboration, Candor, Integrity, Earnestness
  • Perform tasks across multiple product lines after training
Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient with computers for accessing documentation
  • Ability to identify wire colors and sizes accurately
  • Use measurement tools like scales and rulers
  • Perform basic math operations
  • Handle hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Occasional overtime work
  • Attention to detail, spatial awareness, quality focus
  • Integrity, eagerness to learn, teamwork, safety and customer focus
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands for wiring, crimping, bending, and terminating wires
  • Stand for 1-2+ hours per shift
  • Lift 10-25 lbs regularly, up to 50-85 lbs with assistance
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay: $18.00 - $20.00, with a $0.50/hour shift differential
